How to use a Righthand with WooCommerce
Prepare a reviewed product-variant catalog correction queue from approved WooCommerce inputs, with a worked example, complete brief, access checks, and reconciliation.
Quick answer
Use an approved WooCommerce product CSV to prepare a correction queue for catalog review. A good first pass checks product identity, variation-parent relationships, and incomplete merchandising fields without importing changes back into the store.
Start with a product-variant catalog correction queue that the catalog owner can check against the original records. Righthand prepares the review artifact; the source application remains the operational record.
Establish the input route
WooCommerce documents its product CSV importer and exporter, including product types, IDs, SKUs, and variation-related fields. Official WooCommerce reference, checked October 6, 2026.
Have the catalog owner export the intended products and specify which product types belong in scope. Keep the unchanged CSV as the reference, and supply approved merchandising requirements separately so suggested corrections have an accountable basis.
Check the current integration directory and Righthand setup documentation. A listed app does not establish every read or write action. For a connected route, verify the assigned account, available operation, object scope, and one permitted sample read. This guide also works from an explicitly supplied, approved extract; it does not require an unverified native operation. Keep credentials out of the article brief.
Worked input and output
These three records are synthetic illustrations, not customer results or a hands-on integration test.
| Approved input | Proposed review output |
|---|---|
| Product W10: variable parent with two child rows | Group children under W10 and list their distinct attribute values |
| Variation W11: parent reference absent | Flag relationship gap for catalog owner |
| Product W12: image reference differs from approved asset | Prepare asset verification item; do not replace the live image |
The correction queue should identify a particular row and expected field, not merely say the catalog is inconsistent. W11’s missing parent is a structural question. W12’s image requires comparison with the approved asset record; appearance alone does not prove which image is correct.
A complete first-run brief
Use an approved WooCommerce product CSV and catalog requirements for October 12–16, 2026. Fields: product ID, type, SKU, parent reference, name, attribute names, attribute values, image reference, export timestamp. At Monday 9 AM America/Los_Angeles, prepare a product-variant catalog correction queue as source-linked Markdown in my private review thread. Preserve record identities and the extract timestamp. Group unresolved items by next action and responsible owner. Reviewer: catalog owner. Do not import products, publish edits, change prices, delete variants, or alter inventory. Result check: Check one parent and its child variations by ID; confirm each proposed correction cites the approved requirement.
A permitted preparation step does not authorize a consequential write or an external send. Resolve proposed changes through the app's supported process after the responsible owner approves their exact scope.
Reconcile before widening the task
An empty value may be intentional for one product type and incomplete for another. Apply requirements by type rather than globally. A changed SKU can also disrupt matching, so retain the product ID and avoid proposing a replacement identity casually.
Review one product family during the first catalog maintenance session. Keep accepted edits separate from unresolved questions, then let the catalog owner apply changes through the normal store workflow. Compare a new export after the edits before declaring them present.
For the first acceptance review, keep the original input slice beside the result and mark which items were checked. If access or evidence is incomplete, return that gap with its record identity rather than a confident completion statement. Review Pricing using the actual preparation workload and correction effort.
